Thomas Michael Voss is one of London's finest and most versatile choreographers and dance teachers. Fast, meticulous and creative. His multiple and diverse skills have earned him considerable respect and a fine reputation in the business leading to an Off West End Award nomination this year. Besides having recently received an award nomination for Best Choreographer for the Gilbert & Sullivan musical Princess Ida, Finborough Theatre, he has also received commissions to choreograph for major London festivals such as The Big Dance all across London, the Festival of Love at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank and the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival. He works as well for Film, Music, Fashion, TV and Theatre.
Thomas Michael Voss has been chosen for Resolution 2017 the prestigeous dance festival now in its 28th year. He will present his latest work Quaestio which deals with the topics of disability - bullying - masculinity. The choreography can be seen on 1st February 2017 at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre and tickets will go on sale on 5th December.
Thomas Michael Voss choreographs for both the arts and the commercial sector. He draws from over 10 years of experience as a choreographer following an expansive and extensive international career of 14 years as a dancer. Besides working for TV, Theatre, Movie, Fashion, Photography, Events and Music he also creates his own contemporary dance work.
Over the last two years alone he created the pieces: Quaestio, Pragma, Laterite, V7/15, Tierra Roja and Four Seasons Of Buenos Aires.
Besides choreographing Thomas Michael Voss also teaches all across London and gets regularly invited to hold Master Classes, Workshops and Seminars nationally and internationally. He recently was invited to hold master classes at the UK's biggest dance event Move It at the ExCel Centre. He teaches regular classes for the London College of Music, Dance Attic Studios, Crisis Charity, Greenwich Dance and the Royal Academy of Dance.
Thomas Michael Voss was chosen to teach for the Royal Academy of Dance as part of a scientific research programme investigating aspects of Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and Dimentia as well as Depression which is part of the wider Dance For Lifelong Wellbeing programme in conjunction with Open Age at the Second Half Centre London.
Thomas Michael Voss is vastly experienced and works regularly with all age groups and backgrounds as a choreographer, movement director, performance coach and dance teacher.
He is a staff member of the London College of Music, Musical Theatre, where he teaches all levels from the new Foundation Course to Third Years and has choreographed last years graduation shows which were Sondheim's 'Saturday Night' and 'Spelling Bee'.
Thomas Michael recently anticipated in a regeneration and integration programme in Tottenham and was recently trained by the Royal Academy of Dance for the scientific research project Dance for Lifelong Wellbeing and is now teaching the over 55's for the Royal Academy of Dance.
He is also an art critic for the Koestler Trust for prison art by convicts.
Thomas Michael Voss is choreographing the European Premiere of The Last Tycoon, based on the movie starring Robert De Niro, novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It will run from 17th August till 10th September at the Arts Theatre, Central London, West End.
After a very successful run of the new British Musical Princess Caraboo, by Phil Willmott and Mark Collins, which received 5 star reviews and two OffWestEnd award nominations for Best New Muscial and Best Lighting Design, Thomas Michael Voss is currently auditioning for Shakespeare's 'As You Like It' for an open air immersive production which will take place at Windsor Great Park this Summer.
